My typical process for writing a blog post is that I read something or have an interesting conversation with someone about a particular topic. From there, my brain thinks about it on & off for a day or two. This obviously takes a bit of time and that’s where my problem lies for this blog. I’ve been too focused on a big project to have the time to read.
What’s the big project? I’ve launched a new website at www.HerdWiseTherapy.com!
Why a separate website?
Working with horses the way we do is incredibly powerful. Often when I explain to someone what I do, the first thing that comes to their mind is some form of therapeutic riding. While we don’t do that, we do offer Equine Assisted Therapy. We’ve had a number of business clients who wanted to go deeper and get more personal with the horses or knew someone who needed this type of service. We’ve always offered counseling but it just wasn’t our primary service. While we’ll still be focusing on business issues, leadership and team building, it was inadequate for me to send someone who’s looking for counseling to a website that focused on leadership and team development. So HerdWise Therapy was born.
Equine Assisted Therapy has shown to be effective in treating patients, including combat veterans, with PTSD, depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders, conduct disorders, dissociative disorders and other chronic mental illnesses. (Journal of the American Medical Association)
Please check it out and give me your feedback-positive and negative. It’s the only way to get better! Here are some questions to get you going.
- Is there enough information?
- Is it clear and understandable?
- What other information do you feel you need?
- Do you like the look and feel of the site?
- Is it easy to navigate?
Here’s the site one more time—www.HerdWiseTherapy.com. Go there now and then share the site with your friends. Thank you!
